The Rock Tavern Chapter holds a coffeehouse on the second Saturday evening of each month except July
and August. It is held at the meetinghouse of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Rock Tavern, 9
Vance Road, Rock Tavern, NY (www.uucrt.org). The coffeehouse consists of an open mic and a feature
performer. It starts at 7:30 p.m. and ends at 10:15 p.m. Doors open for open mic sign-up and
refreshments at 7 p.m. Admission is $6 ($5 for Folk Guild members and seniors).
Folk Guild membership is $10 per year and members are also entitled to discounts at Folk Guild events in
Poughkeepsie, Hyde Park and Kingston. For more information about the Rock Tavern Chapter of the
Hudson Valley Folk Guild or the coffeehouse, please call Keith Jordan at (845)978-5620.
At the Rock Tavern Chapter coffeehouse, we have several open mic performers before the feature and then the feature performs
before the break. The Rock Tavern coffeehouse is known for having supremely delicious food (not just dessert) during the break and
arriving hungry is recommended. After the break we have the rest of the open mic performers. The first eight performers get two
songs or 10 minutes each and the rest get one song with the option of another song if time remains before the 10:15 p.m. closing
